This year, World Water Week (25 to 29 August 2024) centred on close collaboration in the field of water, for peace and security, including security of supply. Under the motto “Bridging Borders: Water for a Peaceful and Sustainable Future”, World Water Week 2024 reflected on the regional and global interconnectivity between communities, organisations and nations, featuring various workshops focusing on the collaborative effort needed to build a peaceful and sustainable future.

The Wilo-Foundation took part for the second time, with Evi Hoch (member of the Executive Board) representing the foundation. She was pleased that she had the opportunity to gain some first-hand impressions in the field of entrepreneurship and to meet with Juliette Gabron, General Manager of the funding partner Young Water Solutions, an NGO from Paris. “Here in Stockholm, Juliette and I signed the joint funding commitment for the continuation of the WASH funding project in the period 2024-2025 in South Africa.” Evi Hoch also attended the exclusive side event “Majifund: How a WASH Enterprise Development Focused Fund Could Make a Difference”, which was hosted by cevas at the Impact Hub Stockholm, and she was able to build further contacts in this field.
