Evi Carola Hoch

Evi Carola Hoch was appointed to the Executive Board of the Wilo-Foundation in Dortmund in early 2012. Since then, she has been managing the international social engagement activities of the Wilo-Foundation and of the non-profit WILO-Stiftung.

From 1998 to 2011, she worked for a global audit and consultancy firm in Cologne, Essen, Geneva and Düsseldorf. During the last seven years with the company, she was a senior manager (authorised officer) in the division for family businesses. There, she also played a major part in establishing the KPMG Network of Women (KNOW) for North Rhine-Westphalia.

In her role as member of the Executive Board of the Wilo-Foundation, Evi Hoch also supports many associations and institutions that are of relevance for society. She was a member of the University Council of Hof University of Applied Sciences (2019-2023) and is a member the University Council of Dortmund University of Applied Sciences (appointed in 2023), of the board of trustees of the Dortmund Science Master Plan, of the executive board of the Association of Friends of TU Dortmund University, of the advisory board of Dortmund Mozart Society, of the Association of Arts and Culture of German Business within the Federation of German Industries as well as the global Foundations Platform F20, and also sits on the steering committee of the Ruhr Region Foundations Network and of Dortmund Foundations Day.

Evi Hoch holds a Magister Artium (M.A.) in Art History (University of Freiburg i. Br.) and an Executive Master of Business Administration in International Business (ENPC, Paris). Born in Wolfsburg, she began her professional career as a trainee at the Vitra Design Foundation in Weil am Rhein. She then worked freelance as a cultural manager of a German-Polish cultural festival in Poland.

She is convinced that each individual can make an important contribution to improving the quality of life for all people and to protecting the climate and the environment. Personally, she has a “climate subscription” and makes donations to support social business and young artists.
