The Wilo-Foundation has been supporting the annual meeting of scientific research assistants from German-speaking institutes focusing on water supply and sanitation since 2012. This multi-day scientific conference gives PhD candidates the opportunity to listen to expert lectures, take part in field trips to surrounding locations and in soft skills workshops, and enjoy a cultural programme. The young participants can also use the forum to present and discuss their current research topics in the fields of water and sanitation, sludge treatment and resource management, and process and environmental engineering.

Experts from the Wilo Group have also participated in the conferences, given their input and made presentations on issues of water management and energy efficiency.
